Are you already solving problems with an IT company? No, certainly not. Where other companies fill in the question with a technical solution, at TeamValue, we look at the problem behind the question.

Am I a business transformer?

“Quite honestly, when I started looking for a new job, I was looking for a position that didn't exist. “I'm not a programmer, I'm not a database administrator, and I didn't know everything about Azure yet. I do know that I solve problems for people with the help of technology'. In the past, I've had several roles and, in short, I hate being “pigeonholed”. So as you can imagine, I've thought about that carefully. What exactly suited me and how I can explain my added value to an organization'. Towards Business Transformation together!

“Think for yourself, teach yourself new things, be challenged and occasionally show a bit of guts. Character for skill! That's exactly what I want and what I want from TeamValue. '

Technology is often not your starting point

“Through Indeed, I came across quite a few vacancies. Three vacancies stood out for me and they were also from the same organization, TeamValue. As a versatile, sometimes somewhat stubborn IT professional, I could relate to all three profiles. So instead of thinking: too bad, my profile doesn't fit any of the vacancies, I responded anyway! Why? I was challenged to think about myself and your resume is old as soon as you get out of bed anyway, because we're developing every day.”

'A personal way of addressing people on the site and in the vacancy texts is important to me. Also communicating outsiders and putting OHANA at the center. Where we really look at you as a person and where a good work/life balance is important Organization DNA seat'. When I had my first meeting at the office less than a week later, I was immediately recognized. “Surely you must be Sander?” , Maurits asked me. I found the entire application process to be very open, informal and an immediate fit. I sometimes wondered, is this too good to be true? But after I also had a conversation with Anton afterwards and he, as owner, told me about where he wants to go with TeamValue, I was all over my head. Not everything can be positive, but he was very honest and that ultimately takes the longest, don't they say?

'I said in my conversation with Xander, TeamValue's top nerd, that I sometimes find PowerBI really annoying and this doesn't always solve all the problems for me. That I like to look beyond just technology. '

My own Scrum process at TeamValue

“The cool thing about my new role is that I'm not only responsible for the proper implementation of technology, but I'm really at the front end of the decision process. With customers and also with TeamValue”. Listening, giving feedback and improving is the motto! My own first sprint when I was only two weeks in service consisted of a great team day, a helicopter ride for our 5th anniversary and even in my first month a visit with four other colleagues from the circle of technology to Microsoft Ignite. So to say the least, I had a really fun, strange, intensive onboarding just to stay in the airline terms for a while.

(Speech) waterfall?

Haha, yes, when you let Sander speak, the conversation sometimes overflows with enthusiasm and creates a real waterfall of speech. Sander brings structure to our customers, advises on how Azure works and coaches various departments.

“I develop on a technical level in a broad sense, coaching people and making sure that business and IT come closer together actually provides more depth.”

Have you already read Joost-Jan's blog where he explains how business-critical applications are actually like Lego blocks that we make smarter, faster and safer every day? The logical action that follows is a good integration and adoption of process and behavioral change, and that is where an excellent opportunity lies for an organization like us. “In addition to my work with customers, I also work on internal projects, management and Business Intelligence side. CCOE (Cloud Center of Excellence) is often heard flying around your ears at our office. That is something we believe in and we often work together with Microsoft. Many customers are therefore now taking the step in their Business Transformation.

The nice thing about my job is that I'm involved beforehand and stay involved in business transformations afterwards. This also shows the direct influence of the 'leftovers' that you leave behind.

Personally, I see most questions from the business when it comes to:

  • Reporting needs
  • Azure services, implementations and deployment of PowerBI
