Technician vs Technot

Simply put, a technician here is someone who understands, touches, writes code, implements smart automations and builds business-critical applications. A technician is someone who does not touch code but does non-IT work and then works with the systems. Think of our agile transformation team, office management, marketing, sales, etc. Technician or Technician? It is important to speak the same language, “focus” on the same values and work together towards a goal. Everyone who starts at TeamValue has to laugh at this comparison. We also wrote a post about it on LinkedIn. But what does this collaboration actually mean and how do technicians experience working in a tech company?

Working at an IT Consultancy club

Working as Account Manager, Office Manager and Online Marketer at TeamValue. They are the support functions, also known as the internal backbone. In addition to our technical colleagues (Cloud Engineers, Software Developers and Business Intelligence Consultants), we, as technicians, often work together with each other and with our IT professionals. So is working at an IT Consultancy Club for Technicians a conscious choice? Not for Hans and Mary. Maria comes from the IT industry and was looking for a position in a similar company. j But both Hans and Maria focused mainly on the way of working within TeamValue, the family culture, helping to build and develop the organization and working together within the team. Hans adds:

“As an Account Manager, I've been used to the time/material model of interim management/consultancy companies from the past. It was a breath of fresh air to see and feel how we do things differently at TeamValue. Here, the focus is not on invoicing as many hours as possible, but on really adding value to our customers. There is extensive teaming with both the customer's colleagues and stakeholders, which means that there is joint responsibility for the result. '

That's exactly what Maria is about. “I'm working from A to Z on everything about office support and HR. Invoicing, onboarding new employees, HR policy, setting up new systems, you name it. Ops isn't just limited to 1 specialization. Never a dull moment!”.

For Malique, working in IT is certainly also a conscious choice. “Developments are fast there, colleagues often quickly see the value of (content) marketing, there are many updates to share and great stories to tell. You also quickly touch on the tech aspect of a role as a Marketer. The new projects are about campaigns, data and new systems to be set up”. (Technical) highlights of the past year

In a world where there is a lot of movement, we share best practices, failures and successes with each other. What have been the highlights for Maria, Hans and Malique so far?

For Maria, her employment so far consists mainly of highlights. She is involved in many new solutions, she has already seen quite a few new colleagues coming in and can actually initiate change in her role as Office Manager. And that's not the case everywhere.” “Often, it's mostly performance. And it was exactly the combination with depth and genuine team spirit that I was looking for and found at TeamValue”.

For Hans, it is mainly the good balance between responsibility and freedom that he has in his role as Account Manager. In terms of experience, the moment is when he went to the PEC Zwolle - Ajax match with a number of customers. Not just the poster was what our relations came for, but mainly to appreciate the way we worked with them and our commitment to the result. “So our model of Customer Intimacy suits me very well,” says Hans.

Malique agrees with what Hans and Maria say and adds: “More than ever, I have a white A4 here where I can make plans, implement and adjust. Literally no day is the same and I'm doing very well on that. Like many of my other colleagues, I don't necessarily like routine and maybe I'll go for a double sticker on my laptop in the future...”.
