Albert’s first 100 days: "It feels like I’ve packed a whole year of growth into just three months."

At TeamValue, we want every new colleague to feel welcome from day one. That’s why we’re taking you through the first 100 days of Albert, our Azure Cloud Consultant. How did he find his start? What did he learn? And most importantly: is TeamValue really as fun as we think it is?

A flying start

Albert looks back on his first few months with a big smile: “My first hundred days have been absolutely great. From day one, I felt welcome and like I was part of the team.”

His start was packed with coffee dates, introductions, and the famous TeamValue “flight note.” It gave him a relaxed, informal, and complete overview of the team and how we work together.

What surprised him the most happened on his first Friday: he was spontaneously invited to go bouldering. “You don’t see that kind of spontaneity everywhere. It made my start extra fun.”  

Technical and personal growth  

Albert dove straight into the tech—Azure, certifications, training. But what really stood out was how TeamValue challenged him to think bigger: “I didn’t just gain a lot of new technical knowledge; I also learned to think from the bigger picture and the client’s perspective. It feels like I’ve experienced a whole year of growth in just three months.”

He also made huge strides on a personal level. He took more ownership, felt responsible for the solutions he was working on, and started taking the initiative more and more often.

Four projects, a broad perspective, and client work

Even though he’d only just arrived, Albert was able to work on several projects right away. Two were internal, like the HoeDoedashboard, which he built together with Kahn. They were able to combine a lot of their skills on this project, which is exactly what Albert loved about the collaboration. He also worked on a new connector for the IntegrationHub, a technically challenging task that allowed him to dive deeper into the architecture.

Together with Kahn, he also set up automated Purview dashboarding to provide real-time insights into compliance data. That project is now complete and has been rolled out at Berenschot, his first client assignment at TeamValue. Finally, he’s working with Lars on publishing the IntegrationHub to the Azure Marketplace, a project that brings a completely different kind of challenge.

Is TeamValue as fun as expected?

Switching from industrial automation to TeamValue was a bit nerve-wracking for Albert. But he quickly realized he’d landed in exactly the right place. The atmosphere is open, the team spirit is strong, and he felt like part of the group from the very beginning.
