Jochem's first 100 days as a Business Analyst

The first hundred days at a new company are often a whirlwind. New colleagues, new clients, and a whole new way of working. For Jochem, those first few months were all about meeting people, learning the ropes, and diving straight into the action. Time to look back on his first 100 days at TeamValue. 

How were your first 100 days?

"Really positive. In a short time, I’ve gotten to know a lot of people and worked on a variety of projects. What really stands out is that feedback is taken seriously and colleagues are always ready to jump in and help when needed. That made me feel right at home very quickly."

What stood out to you during your onboarding?

According to Jochem, the onboarding at TeamValue was the most structured he’s ever experienced. "Everything was well taken care of. Even when my laptop wasn't working quite right, a replacement was ready immediately. That might sound like a small detail, but it really shows how TeamValue welcomes new colleagues."

What did you start with?

One of his first assignments was internal to TeamValue, where he helped with the further development of the intent process.

"Essentially, we were working on improving how we develop and document new ideas ourselves. In that sense, we were working on the process behind the process."

What client projects have you worked on?

In his first hundred days, Jochem worked on several projects. For Berenschot, he helped with an improvement initiative surrounding Microsoft Purview, where the focus wasn't just on the tech, but specifically on its practical application.

"We drafted clear policy documents, guidelines, and work instructions regarding labels and policies. This makes it much clearer how document classification works in practice."

In addition, he worked as a Scrum Master and business consultant at Venn Hypotheken on a technically compliant data platform based on Microsoft Fabric.

"Together with my colleagues, we built a solid foundation within time and budget. That’s something I look back on with a lot of pleasure and, above all, pride."

What have you learned about yourself?

The first few months weren't just about new projects, but also about personal development. "At the beginning, you're trying to jump onto the moving train that is TeamValue. Thanks to the office team and the help of my colleagues, I managed that quickly."

What moment has stayed with you?

A great moment happened during a client project. "A client asked if my colleague and I were friends or coworkers because we got along so well. I thought that was a great compliment."

According to Jochem, that says a lot about how people work together at TeamValue: professionally, but with genuine care for one another.

"No, it's even better." The atmosphere in particular was a pleasant surprise. "There's a lot of freedom, colleagues help each other out, and everyone works hard without losing the fun."
