How Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Azure AI Foundry are helping organizations work smarter

Jashanjot and Joeghanoe visited Microsoft's Agent O Thon event, a day dedicated to AI agents and the opportunities offered by Microsoft's AI ecosystem. The focus was on the interplay between Copilot, Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry. Together, these solutions form a powerful basis for building smart, collaborative agents that can automate and accelerate business processes.

From single agent to multi-agent solutions

During the keynote, Microsoft showed how a single agent can perform a task independently and how multi-agent solutions work together to solve more complex problems. Consider, for example, a scenario where multiple specialized agents retrieve, analyze, summarize and present data, completely autonomously but with one common goal.

After the keynote, the participants got to work themselves. In groups of five to six people, the men were given one hour to choose a problem that could be solved with the help of agents. Creativity was flowing and it quickly became clear how great the potential of this new way of working is.

In a room with 150 participants, there appeared to be only six developers present, and yet everyone managed to create working AI solutions within a short time.

Copilot Studio: Building AI Without Coding

One of the biggest eye-openers was Microsoft Copilot Studio. This tool makes it possible to build a Copilot yourself without having to be a programmer.
